Live portrait illustration

I am a London based live portrait illustrator, creating quirky and expressive drawings using my signature mixed-media approach that capture the sitters unique personality and style.

Live portraits are a brilliant way to engage with your guests, get to know your community and provide some interactive fun at an event. I love doing live illustration because I get to meet, chat to and draw so many interesting people.

How to use live portraits

  • Live Portraits for Brand Events

Add a creative touch to your next event with live portraits as gifts for your guests!

I can work on branded paper and even illustrate using brand colours for illustrations.

As well as adding a great interactive element to an event, live portraits can provide something fun for guests to share on social media after the event.

My bold and playful way of drawing is perfect for brands who want to stand out from the crowd and provide something a bit different.

  • Live Portraits for Consultancy and Community Work

Live Portraits for Consultancy and Community Work

Things people don’t like: answering feedback forms, interview questions or ‘stopping for quick chat’ about your project.

Things people do like: Free art that represents them!

A hand drawn portrait is an excellent way to get people engaged with your project and get to know your community. Whether you want to speak to members of the public, or add a bit of interest to an event, having people sit for a short live portrait can help people relax whilst they fill in feedback forms, answer interview questions or just have a little chat.

Live portraits can also be scanned in before being given to the client, providing unique and personality-filled assets for presentations, bids and more.

How it works

I can do speedy 5 minute portraits, or more detailed 10 minute ones of individuals. I can also draw couples in one drawing with an extra few minutes.

Option for full colour portraits or monochrome on coloured paper.

I provide all the materials, I just need a table with three chairs and good lighting.

You can optionally provide branded paper, or stickers/stamps to apply to my paper.

Optional service to scan in the portraits before I give them away to guests (adds about 5 mins per portrait)

“Lucia's live portraits were such a fun and special addition to our event. They were a really cute and personalised take home, adding to the overall unique experience of our event and was extremely popular. Lucia was amazing to work with and was so friendly and professional.

Having Lucia doing live drawing will add the *next level* to any event and I hope to work with her again at future events!”

“Bringing Lucia’s wonderful artistic practice, particularly the beautiful portraits she sketched of community members whilst they were speaking to us as part of the consultation, brought our workshops to life in a way we could not have imagined.

We gained rich insights into how people felt about the project we had been commissioned to work on, alongside a set of personal and moving portraits of community members which we had the great pleasure of giving to them in return for the time they had spent with us.”

FAQs

  • I can draw 6-10 people per hour depending on the choice of style (line drawing or full colour). However the number of people I draw really depends on how keen people are to get drawn and how long the gaps between sitters are!

  • My prices start at £125 per hour and my minimum booking time is 2 hours for London events or 3 hours further afield.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. This is non refundable. The remaining fee is due 30 days upon receipt of my invoice, which I’ll send after the event.

    Email hello@luciavinti.com for a quote.

  • I use a mix of marker pens, oil pastels and colouring pencils for both my full colour portraits and my monochrome portraits. This avoids us sitting around and watching paint dry!

  • Weddings - unfortunately not right now due to the sheer number of guests. However if it is a small, intimate wedding then get in touch and I will see what I can do.

Private Parties - yes, depending on the logistics and location.
